THE CODE
The hidden rules of every arena, decoded.
Denzel D. Burnside III decodes the hidden rules of every arena, with experts and everyday folk.
The State covers power. The Operative Ledger covers money. THE CODE decodes both. When an episode turns up a statehouse story, our reporters follow it here, in news register, with both sides.

How THE CODE works
- The host speaks in first person and says up front how he is tied to a subject. News stories built from an episode drop the first person and never endorse.
- No paid guests. Every guest gets a right of reply.
- Every arena seats a critic, so the other side is in the room.
- Quotes are checked against the recording before they run.
- Generated images are labeled "Photo illustration". No generated real faces.
